the two guys in the "2009 lost memories" carries a Heckler & Kock USP pistol , chambered for 9mm or 0.40 S&W or 0.45 ACP. The second last photo shows that the HK USP is equipped with an Insight Technologies UTL (Universal Tactical Light). The third last picture is slightly odd, b'cos the Tac Light (Surefire) is sticking out of the pistol frame, looks quite unbalance to me.

The guy holding a rifle with laser aiming module is using a custom made M16 series assault rifle, with the scope handle removed. Its replaced with a reticle scope. Btw, he's a sitting duck if it happens in real life situation.

Last but least, the "robber" , i think using some kind of 1911 style pistol. that's my 5 cents worth of comments...feel free to give yr input

F-16 modifications not really alot...especially the engines... customers either select General Electric or Pratt Whitney engines for the F-16.. perhaps its not juz any engines can be easily use from one aircraft to the other. Performance, fuel limit, thrust output, stress factor has to be taken into consideration...that's my two cents view abt that... its possible that s'pore might have gotten the F/A-18 parts as replacements(since replacement might not always be available from the nearest US base 24/7)...since there is a squadron of USAF F/A -18 based in s'pore...

my snipering exp...not alot...its my first year in the army..lolz but anyway, i feel that the army should replaced the m16s1 designated marksmen rifle with knight's SR-25.. its a better rifle... and with a 7.62mm round..your range canm increase further than a normal 5.56mm round. barrel comes with supressor attachment.. i did a bit of armoury work bf...customizing a steyr ssg-69 to fit suppressor is troublesome...

my view of russian fighter jets...impressive...but needs to be maintain properly...in fact..russian designers keep in mind of designing sometime which can be maintain easily during wartime and take off from unpaved run ways...

probably our views on russian fighter jets are sometimes a bit biased.. b'cos we do not fully understand and see the clear picture... MiG-29 can be said as one of the best among the MiG family...when it does the cobra manueovre...that's v. cool...v. few planes can actually do that...

as i said bf, it is the pilot skill that counts...technology comes in later...

the SA80 is too sucky...look stylish..but can't last long... chamber jammed v. often...can't use in harsh conditions...which was reported during the Royal Marines were issued with the new improved version LA85 A2... still got problem...

butt stock melts when comes into contact with insect repellent...

magazine gets jammed up easily also...falls out of the magazine chamber without notice...

the british army is going to replace it soon with the G36...i find it strange then..perhaps Heckler & Koch wants them to buy the G36..that's why give them lousy quality and design when manufacturing the SA80 for the british army...who knows...no offence here..

if i'm not wrong...the IR aiming system comes in two modes..one which is pure IR which u can see with your eyes the other one can be seen using NVG. not much use either.. like the army 21 advertisement...u see one section of soldiers in the river/swamp..with the laser on...during smoky conditions...its really misguiding...giving your self away for enemy to spot your positions...

some US Swat teams used a diff version of the sar-21...it comes with a Picantinny rail, so u can remove the built in scope and add on a 20 mm rail red dot sight..(e.g aimpoint or trigicon aCOG reflex) ... i think that one better for CQB and FIBUA.

aiyoh...better update guys...now SAF already issuing out the FN P90 to Commando units... it was shown during NDP 2002 ...when the commandos rappelled down from the ropes... Straits Time picture show that the P90 comes with a three-pt sling and gemtech suppressor....wah kaoz... p90...likely to be use for CQB ...and urban combat... with the impressive 5.7mm caliber...kelvar vests also won't offer much protection then..so what's the next weapon..?

anyway, i'm not too comfortable using sar-21 for cqb...when u got to change mag, time taken is longer than usual..compare it with a m4 carbine..i think u change faster on a carbine...

i've used before the Steyr SSG-69 PI ..i find it suitable for asians in the region due to its design. If u compare it with the american Remington M24 SWS, its even much heavier and long for us to use. I agree that 5 rds is way too little for the standard issued magazine...but its like that..u got to make good use of it..snipers have to be part of a infantry platoon or assault group. working alone in pairs sometimes not effective, if enemy firepower is too strong, the snipers will be dead in a matter of time.. (e.g read the story of the two american snipers in black hawk down..u will noe what i mean). Perhaps our army should get a anti-material sniper rifle. ..will be quite using... add in a thermal scope... will can detect body heat behind walls...quite useful for urban areas like s'pore...the best sniper rifle we have .. the AI L96A1... apparently..the commandos sent their snipers for a competition in USA...they came out first ...among the other europe and asian countries...
