The Beautiful Hands of a Priest
We need them in life's early morning,
we need them again at its close;
We feel their warm clasp of friendship,
we seek them when tasting life's woes.
At the altar each day we behold them,
and the hands of a king on his throne
Are not equal to them in their
greatness; their dignity stands all alone;
And when we are tempted and wander
to pathways of shame and sin,
It's the hand of a priest that will absolve
us----not once, but again and again;
And when we are taking life's partner,
other hands may prepare us a feast,
But the hand that will bless and unite
us is the beautiful hand of a priest.
God bless them and keep them all holy
For the Host which their fingers caress;
When can a poor sinner do better than
to ask Him to guide thee and bless?
When the hour of death comes upon us
may our courage and strength be increased.
By seeing raised over us in anointing the
beautiful hands of a priest!Author Unknown

hmmmm, because i heard from a priest say its the parents authoriy, right, and responsibility to ensure that they grow up to be a christian.
if they reach adulthood, then it is out of ur control and limitations to make them choose something else.
u know how it is with kids, they follow their parents and are influence by them.
its weird cause thats the church wishes, and i just feel that it needs to be clarified in that area.
The Church should not be seen as made up of individuals, but as made up of families. Definitely the family places an important development in the faith. We cannot simply depend on the Church for the moral and spiritual education of our children. The parents must play a part too.
The Catechism states:
2225 Through the grace of the sacrament of marriage, parents receive the responsibility and privilege of evangelizing their children. Parents should initiate their children at an early age into the mysteries of the faith of which they are the "first heralds" for their children. They should associate them from their tenderest years with the life of the Church.34 A wholesome family life can foster interior dispositions that are a genuine preparation for a living faith and remain a support for it throughout one's life.
If you don't bring up the children in the faith, and they go astray, then it is your fault. But if you have done all you can but they still abandon the faith when they grow up, I don't think God will blame you for it.
